ASHEVILLE, NC – Asheville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts will host a free yoga workshop 6:45-7:45 p.m. July 21 at Stephens-Lee Recreation Center, 30 George Washington Carver Street.
This is one of the free workshops for women offered through the center’s Women’s Health and Education Endeavors (WHEE).
Alex Moody, a graduate of the Asheville Yoga School, will guide participants through various techniques and postures to enhance overall well-being, breathing, flexibility, and posture. Yoga can also improve blood pressure and depression. Other benefits of the ancient practice of yoga include improved strength, balance, and concentration.
