Actress Andie MacDowell to Speak at Asheville Film Festival

Asheville local and prominent actress Andie MacDowell will speak on becoming successful in the film industry at a workshop sponsored by the Asheville Film Festival, from noon to 1pm on November 10th. The workshop is free and attendance is only limited by seating.

MacDowell has been a professional model and actress for over 20 years. Her films include Michael, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Sex, Lies and Videotape and Groundhog Day with Bill Murray (one of our favorites!).

Also to do a workshop for the Asheville Film Festival is Don Mancini, the creator of the "Chucky" horror film franchise. Mancini will discuss becoming successful in writing and directing, with the workshop being be held from 1-2 pm on Nov. 9 in the Ritz Building, downtown Asheville.
