I-240 Lanes Closures May Delay Traffic in Asheville Today

ASHEVILLE, NC – Motorists on Interstate 240 may see some traffic slow-downs today as state construction crews undertake bridge repair work.

According to the N.C. Department of Transportation, one of two lanes will be closed in each direction at various times between Exit 1 (Brevard Road) and Exit 3 (U.S. 19-23). Work was scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

One lane will be open to traffic at all times in both directions, according to DOT.

Lanes to Close on I-240 Today in Asheville

Motorists in Asheville may see traffic slow-downs today on Interstate 240 as state construction crews make road repairs.

Lanes will be closed eastbound and westbound at different times to allow for pothole repair, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.

One of two lanes is closed westbound between Mile Markers 5-7 between 9 a.m-1 p.m., according to DOT.

One of two lanes will be closed eastbound between 1-3:30 p.m. between Mile Markers 5-7.
